In Philadelphia, family-run Italian places are busiest on weekend evenings and around holidays, when reservations or call-ahead seating are worth it. BYOB is common at smaller restaurants in some states, with a modest corkage fee or none at all; the listing or a quick call will tell you. Wing-and-pizza shops across Pennsylvania do most of their business by delivery and price wings by the piece or in fixed counts, with sauce heat adjustable on request. Catering trays, party pizzas and sheet pies need a day's notice at most places, and more around big game days.

The business lists hours on 5 days of the week. Typical hours are 3:30–9:30 pm. It is closed on Monday, Tuesday. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. The listed phone number is (215) 592-1295. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. More information is available on its website, villadiroma.com.

Philadelphia is in Pennsylvania, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Traffic in Philadelphia peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. Addresses read from the street number up to the city, state abbreviation and five-digit ZIP code; the map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Went to villa di roma and got the ziti with chicken and veal. It was 95 % pasta with small pieces of meat. The owner came over and said his cook always makes it that way. Horrible meal for $21.95 My girlfriend got shrimp scalipeane over pasta that was cold. They reheated it so she said it was ok. Just a bad experience and an owner who did not care. If you’re in south philly go somewhere else. A place that cares about its customers. Keith

The food here is absolutely phenomenal my personal favorite meatballs i've ever had. The clams casino were delicious, and the villa salad is second to none

We were visiting from Oregon (I grew up in PA) and wanted to give our kids, the authentic south philly Italian experience and the staff at Villa di Roma made our day!! We walked in and immediately felt like we were getting Sunday dinner at grandmas house. We were greeted and treated like family. Our waitress carol was the sweetest woman ever. She made great suggestions and helped us get the best meal. We talked with our neighboring diners like family (and they even treated our family to dessert!). The food was hot, fresh, and extremely tasty (my son said he could eat the mushrooms in his dish for the rest of his life!). It was comforting and perfection! If you want the south Philly Italian experience, this is the place!!

1st time here, won't be the last. Food was so good! Service was great. True, homestyle Italian food and atmosphere. Very warm and welcoming, prices were great! Highly recommend! Get the stuffed mushrooms appetizer! Sooooo good! I forgot to get a pic. We had the fettuccine with ricotta. Delicious!!

This review is for our only experience my fiancee and I had at this cozy, respectable, and classic neighborhood Italian restaurant back in JULY 15, 2023. Whenever I become fond of a place, trust me, I nearly always rate it FIVE stars here on Google. I unfortunately cannot do this for this place. I will explain on the Service paragraph. I will focus on the food part first like I believe I am supposed to. The food was definitely delicious. Its owners are NOT wrong whenever they claim its cuisine is authentically Italian-American. Since we were already tired of gravy sauce coming down from New York City, we chose seafood instead. We started our food journey here with some cheesy garlic bread and Shrimp Scampi. It was really to die for. We accompanied them with a Peroni beer to water these down. The entrees were so much better, of course. My fiancee ordered Chicken Lorraine with Rigatoni pasta because she saw the lady next to us eating that dish. Again, we refused gravy because we already ate it back in NYC. She was enormously satisfied with her dish. I was with mine too. I ordered a Pasta Di Linguini, which is a House favorite. I did NOT regret it at all. Like I said in the paragra
